This modern family room we design is glam, feminine and sophisticated. The room design is inspired by indoor outdoor California life style. It is cozy, laid back yet sophisticated and fanciful.
The dreamy color palette of peach, lilac, red , pink and cream is soothing and soft. The pop of bright yellow on the outdoor pillows and umbrellas adds a summer cheer while the gold finish on the chandelier is glam and sumptuous.
A pair of sand-colored curvy sofas anchor the space with the sleek silhouettes and comfy deep seats while a pair of stylish and comfortable swivel chairs with brushed antique brass bases provide extra lounging seating in style.
A sideboard of thick, white-finished mahogany by the patio door features bleached ash burl door fronts with a patchwork-like pattern, placing a modernist twist on retro-spirited materials. A plinth-style base, meanwhile, keeps things looking light.
The white linen drapes indoor and outdoors quiet down the space with an easy vibe. An hand-woven creamy wool area rug is cozy and inviting.
