This year, we see the rich jewel tones start to take the stage since they create a moody, relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere just like this fireplace corner we designed.

Lunar New Year is just around the corner. This year is the year of rabbit. The rabbit is the symbol of harmony, peace, and prosperity in Chinese Culture. So why not let’s focus on creating an inviting and harmonious home where we can rejuvenate, relax and feel supportive.
We used the color of black on the walls to give this room featuring a traditional stone fireplace a contemporary feel. The clean-lined white upholstered deep-seating plush chairs and a curvy Lucite coffee table create a cozy intimate conversation zone. The red in the artwork and on the velvet rabbit stool inject a dose of energy and cheer into the space. Red often means luck and prosperous in Chinese culture. The blush silk drapes add another layer of elegance and softness.
