2022 is here. Happy New Year! We have just designed a series of New Year LookBook rooms based on our design projects, best sellers in 2021 and trend studies for 2022. There are some trends in 2021 that will continue going strong in 2022–like all curved and sculptural shapes & forms and mixed materials. Pattern and color is emerging big in kitchen, living room and bath refreshes. Functionality is important but we are totally OK with things that are just pretty and please our eye and heart all day long. In today’s blog, we share our design of New Year LookBook 2022—A Chic Modern Living Room.
Industry West collaborated with New Zealand–based design brand United Strangers for a characterful collaboration. The swoonworthy assortment is teeming with on-trend shapes and materials, including overstuffed boucle-upholstered sofas, counter stools with caned backs, and clean-lined acrylic side tables topped with thick marble slabs.
Casual and comfortable, the deep-seated Milan Sofa has oversized arms and a low-profile shape that comfortably seats four. The sofa is upholstered in a soft white fabric, and the contrasting black legs and base are made from powder-coated steel.
Fabric is 100% Polyester. Stuffing material: POLYURETHANE FOAM PAD 60% POLYESTER FIBER BATTING 25% WATERFOWL FEATHERS 15%

Intersecting planes and forms blend together to form our Fragments Marble Side Table, a collection of three different marbles in various curved forms. Comfy and casual, the low-slung silhouette of our Brownsville Sofa is modular in design, with separate components that allow for customization and make for easy transport through elevators or stairwells. Made from a solid pine frame, the Brownsville Sofa is upholstered in a Texan brown leather on the front and sides, and a rich green fabric in the back.

Put your head in the clouds—the Alfred Sofa reinvents the chaise lounge, providing a cozy spot to curl up with a good book, or simply stretch out and relax. Upholstered in textured white boucle, the soft curved seat and backrest sit upon solid wooden legs creating a form that seemingly floats. The Alfred is a relaxing centerpiece that puts comfort first—a bold statement with a fluffy finish. Using five striking varieties of marble it its design, the Atmos Coffee Table Large is supported by a floating acrylic base. The semi-transparent acrylic helps keep the marble as the centerpiece and is sure to be a statement piece in all styles of gathering spaces. Assembly required.
