The beginning of the new year is the perfect time to reflect the past and look for the future. In the design world, it means the new color stories, new design ideas, new materials and a fresh mood. What we have seen in the past several months is the coming-back of the classical design in a fresh way. Artful mixing of materials and styles is a way to make any space timeless. Meanwhile, pattern and textile are playing such an critical role to light up the mood and bring in personality. Today, we’d love to present a spring-inspired bedroom we designed.
Room Design—Spring 2023 Series—Bedroom
In this chic bedroom we designed, we used iconic zebra wallcovering in the new colorway–Dahlia, the sophisticated pink shade for a refreshing spring mood. The wallpaper sets the tone for the space. It’s whimsy and elegant. The low-profile clean-lined bed is crafted out of the Romanian oak. It anchors the room and brings in the warm and inviting vibe with its rich color, natural textures and organic grain patterns. The brass inlays add a touch of glam. The hand-made and hand-painted coral ceramic table lamps inject the pop of color that is cheerful and exciting. The coral shade talks to the rich velvet on the ottomans. The embroidered coral-inspired bedding is relaxing and sophisticated. Which mood would you like to create in your bedroom for this spring?

Inspired by the stained interiors of wine barrels, this Mihaela Collection is a masterfully crafted work of art. Each piece is built by a family of artisans using Romanian oak. Finishes are applied by hand—a closely guarded, secretive process that creates a rich color, accentuating the natural textures and organic grain patterns of the wood.
- Frames are craftsman-built from solid Romanian oak—sustainably harvested by our artisans.
- Hand-carved detailing is artfully painted to appear as metallic brass accents.
- Each finishing process takes three days to complete per piece. Using water to open the wood’s grain, finishes are able to penetrate the full thickness of solid wood surfaces.
- Bed frames include space to accommodate variances in mattress sizes and to allow bedding to be tucked in.
