Happy holidays! besides our annual holiday tradition of Show-House of KHK Designs 2021-2022, we designed a series of holiday moodboards that cherish the different styles of the holiday designs. As we mentioned before, the year of 2021 is another year that we have been spending more time at home. Well-being and self-care are what we focused on when we designed our annual holiday showhouse and moodboards this year. We used soothing and neutral color palettes to create a calming and soft atmosphere while adding texture to bring in warmth and coziness. Here is the complete holiday moodboards series 2021. It was so much fun that the whole family was finally able to travel to Las Vegas to spend couple of nights together. The food, hotel design and of course the holiday festivity are what make Vegas such a charming destination for the holiday season.
Balutto Associati-designed dining chair brings a fresh, airy aesthetic to the table. Tufted channels of luxe linen stripe the chair with a removable seat cushion in the center. Solid bleached oak wood legs add a pretty contrast. Large-scale seat can easily double as an accent chair.
Natural rattan covers this Brett Beldock dining table from top to curvacious base. The Bauhaus-inspired design is warm and inviting, with organic variation in color and weave. The edges of the top and base are trimmed in faux wood resin that mimics wood grain perfectly. Table seats up to eight.
Solid reclaimed teak is the star of this round statement dining table. Finished with a subtle white wash and topped with clear lacquer, teak wood retains its natural tones, knots and markings. Mango wood legs, set at a slight angle, are finished with a blackening technique, allowing the natural details of the wood to shine through. Seats six easily.
Honed white marble, veined with wisps of black and grey, tops a ribbed iron base finished in antiqued silver. Marble table top is trimmed with a flush metal ring in the same antiqued silver—a design detail we love. Dresses way up with formal dining chairs, goes more casual with contrasting leather/metal seating, or stands stunning alone to welcome visitors in the entry. Seats six easily.
Brett Beldock modernizes the traditional dining table with high-end materials and unexpected texture. Honed Volakas marble with mitered edges tops a textured cast aluminum base with a dark bronze finish. Base is hand-polished to reveal some flecks of bright brass and finished with an antique brass ring. Table comfortably seats two.
A modern twist on the classic credenza, this Nicholas Obeid design will stay relevant for years to come. Gorgeous cerused oak frames the piece, centering on four small brass-finished knobs. Four doors open to adjustable shelves and two media holes that let cords out the back. In true Nicholas Obeid form, the legs are capped in brass to tie back to the knobs.
With a twist. Brett Beldock serves a traditional rattan bar up with a twist. Solid wood frame with rattan core patterned detail stands modern on a brass half moon base. Inside, shelves hold flat bottomed glasses or flip to store wine bottles in divots.
Mindi wood and veneer are finished in a silky, dark chocolate stain for a modern and elegant credenza designed by Adam Rogers. Wood channeling stripes four push-to-open doors, revealing two adjustable shelves inside. Media cutouts on each end of the credenza offer clean cord management.

We all need a place to quiet our mind, regroup and rejuvenate during a day specially when we work at home. This lounging room or lounging corner we designed serves this purpose thanks to the large window view, plenty natural light, cozy cloudy-white boucle chairs and lush indoor and outdoor greenery. The minimalism holiday decor is chic and glam while the fresh wreath adds a rustic touch for a laid-back country feel. Blush on the geometric side table is feminine and romantic. It is such a dreamy temporary home getaway for a good read, a drink or an intimate conversation.
