In this kitchen we designed, the island isn’t just functional — it sets the tone. The fluted wood finish brings depth and texture, while the blush wall cabinets soften the architecture. It’s that mix of structure and warmth that makes the space feel intentional but not over-designed.
I’ve always loved pairing unexpected tones. Pink against walnut. Plush seating against clean stone. When done right, it feels chic without trying too hard.
The pendants add a fashion-forward silhouette — modern, sculptural, but still warm. When the light shifts from morning to evening, the entire mood changes. Soft daylight highlights the marble veining and wood grain. Later, when the pendants glow, the island becomes the focal point — grounded, warm, almost cinematic.
What I love most about this space is that it’s clean, but not cold. Styled, but not staged. Everything feels edited — not added.
We all love to keep our kitchen neat and clean. It is pretty hard to achieve this goal when we prepare and cook meals with two full hands or 10 messy fingers. A touch faucet allows us to turn the water flow on and off by simply touching anywhere on the spout or kitchen faucet handle with our wrist or forearm at the temperature where your faucet handle is set. Yes, sometimes, a simple touch makes life much easier.
How Does Touch Faucet Works
Touch faucets use the same technology our smart phone touchscreen is build on. Every person has a characteristic called capacitance. Capacitance is an electronic term that has units of measure called farads. Capacitors are electronic components that store electrical energy. A human body typically has 22 pico farads of capacitance. A capacitive touch sensor is basically a sensing device that measures capacitance in its environment. When a touch sensor is connected to the faucet, it first establishes a baseline level of capacitance. Once this is established, it then looks for an increase in capacitance that occurs when a person touches the faucet (the human body’s 22 pico farads). The sensor detects the increase in capacitance and either turns on water flow or turns off water flow. When the person releases the faucet, the decrease in capacitance is also detected. Benefits of Touch Faucets
Convenience. One touch not only allows us to control the faucet water flow when we have two full hands but also save you a little time by a quick tap, which makes our everyday tasks less stressful.
Less cleaning and fewer germs. One touch on the faucet sprout or handle by our wrist or forearm allow us to do the washing-up without grabbing the kitchen faucet with our dirty hands, which means less spreading germs, specially those from raw eggs and meat.
Water Conservation. Since one simple Touch can turn off the water(some touch faucets can automatically turn off the water flow after a few seconds once you release the faucet), we would most likely do it rather than letting water non-stop flow. Over the time, this can substantially lower your water usage.
User friendly. Touch faucets are not only hygienic but make using a sink easier, especially for young kids and people with arthritis or motor disabilities since a tap is more user-friendly than handles or knobs.
