There’s something about soft early light filtering through fresh green leaves that makes an outdoor dining moment feel intentional, calm, and alive. I kept the styling minimal so the furniture could really speak.
The round stone dining table grounds the space beautifully — clean, timeless, and the perfect neutral against all that spring green. Centered with a low floral, it feels effortless but polished.
But let’s talk about these dining chairs. The curved back silhouette is so graceful — almost windswept. That soft arch detail gives them movement and femininity, while the bold green stripe keeps everything crisp and tailored. They feel structured, but not stiff. Comfortable, but elevated.
And that rug — the bold geometric outdoor rug is what really energizes the space. The rust checker pattern adds warmth and contrast against the green garden backdrop, bringing life and personality to the patio. It turns a simple setup into a statement.
The black lanterns layered along the stone wall add that subtle architectural height (and would glow beautifully at night), while the oversized organic planter keeps everything feeling lush and grounded. I love mixing structured pieces with something a little more natural and sculptural.
Spring mornings like this make outdoor living feel like an extension of the home.
9:00 AM light carries a different kind of energy — softer, cooler, almost weightless as it settles gently into the room. The ocean beyond the window remains calm, reflecting pale morning tones that naturally diffuse into the interior.
A mid-century modern tulip dining table anchors the space with sculptural simplicity. Its pedestal base keeps the composition clean and open, allowing the view and natural light to breathe. Paired with mid-century modern dining chairs, the silhouettes stay intentional — refined without feeling rigid.
A natural jute rug grounds the room with warmth and organic texture, adding depth without introducing visual clutter. On the tabletop, minimal tableware and a loosely arranged floral centerpiece create a relaxed rhythm. Nothing overly styled, nothing excessive — just proportion, material, and restraint working together.
This is where interior design quietly shapes mood.
Not through excess, but through balance.
At 9am on a Saturday, that balance feels effortless — coastal, calm, and completely unhurried.
The first ritual of the day deserves more than a machine pushed into a corner. When designed thoughtfully, a coffee station can feel elevated, intentional, and beautifully integrated into your home.
Here’s how I approach designing a modern, chic, and truly functional coffee bar.
1. Start with Lighting — It Sets the Mood
Before the coffee maker, before the wallpaper — think about lighting.
A fluted chandelier or sculptural pendant instantly elevates the space. I chose one with a soft glow that casts flattering, diffused light. That gentle warmth transforms the station from “utility corner” to “designed moment.”
Layered lighting is key:
• A statement chandelier for atmosphere
• A subtle LED strip under the shelf for depth
• A small cordless lamp for intimacy
Lighting is what makes the space feel intentional.
2. Keep the Cabinetry Clean & Modern
If you want chic, avoid overly detailed cabinet fronts.
I love slab-style drawers — flat, clean, minimal. They keep the look modern and grounded. Long brushed gold handles add just enough jewelry without making it fussy.
Modern doesn’t mean cold. It means edited.
3. Add an Undercounter Drawer Fridge (Game Changer)
If you have space, this is everything.
An undercounter drawer fridge:
• Keeps milk, cream, and cold brew within reach
• Eliminates unnecessary trips to the main kitchen
• Maintains the flow of your morning routine
It also keeps the countertop clean. No clutter. No bottles sitting out. Just calm functionality.
If you’re designing a serious coffee station, this is the upgrade that makes it feel custom.
4. Use Wallpaper to Create a “Jewel Box” Moment
Wallpaper transforms a niche into a destination.
I prefer small-scale floral patterns with breathing space between motifs. It keeps the look romantic but modern — not heavy, not grandma, not overpowering.
Wrapping the walls (and even the ceiling) creates depth and intimacy. Suddenly, the coffee station feels like its own world.
5. Anchor It with Art
Artwork brings soul.
A framed piece above the shelf makes the space feel curated rather than utilitarian. I like slightly off-centered placement — it feels more relaxed and editorial.
Art softens appliances. It tells a story. It adds personality.
6. Don’t Forget the Floor
People forget this.
A runner rug underfoot instantly makes the space warmer and more inviting. It defines the zone and adds texture. Especially in a small niche, the rug completes the composition.
Texture underfoot makes the ritual feel grounded.
7. Keep the Styling Intentional
On the counter:
• Coffee maker on one side
• Tray grouping on the other
• A small mug with a hint of steam
• A croissant or pastry
Group items. Edit aggressively. Leave breathing space.
A coffee station should feel composed — not crowded.
Final Thought
A coffee bar at home isn’t about trends.
It’s about designing a pause.
Modern lines. Romantic wallpaper. Warm lighting. Functional upgrades like an undercounter fridge.
When done right, your coffee station becomes the most intimate, elevated corner of your home — the place where the day begins slowly, intentionally, beautifully.
There’s something about a kitchen island that quietly defines the entire space.
In this kitchen we designed, the island isn’t just functional — it sets the tone. The fluted wood finish brings depth and texture, while the blush wall cabinets soften the architecture. It’s that mix of structure and warmth that makes the space feel intentional but not over-designed.
I’ve always loved pairing unexpected tones. Pink against walnut. Plush seating against clean stone. When done right, it feels chic without trying too hard.
The pendants add a fashion-forward silhouette — modern, sculptural, but still warm. When the light shifts from morning to evening, the entire mood changes. Soft daylight highlights the marble veining and wood grain. Later, when the pendants glow, the island becomes the focal point — grounded, warm, almost cinematic.
What I love most about this space is that it’s clean, but not cold. Styled, but not staged. Everything feels edited — not added.
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, fall becomes the season of cozy textures, earthy tones, and inviting warmth. One of the most timeless ways to bring that autumnal spirit indoors is through fall floral arrangements. Whether styled on a dining table, nestled in a hallway nook, or layered into a living room display, florals have the power to transform a home into a sanctuary that feels both seasonal and stylish.
In 2025, fall floral trends lean toward organic textures, natural palettes, and unexpected pairings—arrangements that feel curated yet effortless. Here’s a closer look at the trend and how you can bring it into your own space.
🍂 The Rise of Organic, Seasonal Styling
Gone are the days of overly structured bouquets. This season, the look is organic, free-flowing, and slightly wild. Designers are leaning into the beauty of imperfection—branches that extend beyond the vase, blooms of different heights, and handwoven textures that add character.
• Natural elements like dried seed pods, ornamental grasses, and foraged branches add depth.
• Seasonal flowers such as dahlias, marigolds, chrysanthemums, and sunflowers anchor the arrangements with warmth and vibrancy.
• Neutral tones like beige, caramel, cream, and terracotta balance out the bolder hues of autumn.
Create drama with a low, wide vase filled with dahlias, eucalyptus, and taper candles woven in between. Perfect for hosting fall dinners or even a Halloween-inspired gathering.
2. Living Room Corners
Add a tall, freeform arrangement with branches and pampas grass to instantly ground the room with texture.
3. Entryway Accents
Greet guests with a simple arrangement of mums or marigolds in a ceramic vase—inviting and easy to refresh.
4. Bedroom Touches
Smaller arrangements of roses, carnations, or even dried lavender add subtle seasonal romance.
🪞 Texture, Vases, and Styling Tips
The vase is just as important as the blooms themselves. In 2025, organic shapes, rough ceramics, and glass with tinted hues dominate the trend. Pair your arrangements with hand-knitted rugs, wooden furniture, or sculptural candles to create layers of seasonal warmth.
Styling tip:
• Keep arrangements asymmetrical to echo nature.
• Mix fresh and dried florals for longevity and interest.
• Don’t shy away from negative space—let your blooms breathe.
What makes fall floral arrangements so appealing is their dual role—they celebrate the season while also elevating everyday life. A pumpkin-colored bouquet on your breakfast table makes mornings brighter; a vase of earthy grasses in your living room adds calm after a long day.
These arrangements are more than just décor—they’re a reminder to slow down, savor the season, and let your home reflect the beauty outside.

🌿 Final Thoughts
Fall floral arrangements are an effortless way to bring the warmth of the season into your home. By embracing organic styling, earthy palettes, and textured accents, you can create a space that feels modern, cozy, and full of character.
So this autumn, let your home bloom—because a little floral touch can completely transform the way you experience the season.
Entryways are where first impressions are made. This chic entryway we designed is a playful mix of geometric patterns—like the stripes on the wallpaper and the thatch on the rug—and whimsical elements, such as the wavy mirror and floral ottoman.
The space features a light wood-toned console by Serena & Lily. We love its vintage-inspired spindle legs and the convenient drawer for extra storage. The wavy mirror and floral ottoman elevate the space with a touch of sophistication, while the pale blue striped wallpaper brings in a coastal-chic vibe.
The new thatched indoor-outdoor rug by Sarah Sherman Samuel for Lulu and Georgia anchors the space with depth and texture.
This charming entryway we designed features a pair of gingham-upholstered side chairs with ruffled skirts and a rustic solid wood table that echoes the blue, green, and off-white landscape-inspired abstract on the striped folding screen. The black-and-white stripes and the vibrant pink abstract art on the floor add a touch of glam, while the round jute rug grounds the space with a sense of calm. The mix-and-match elements in this entryway invite you to explore the rest of the space.
