The go-to interior stylist Colin King, who is famous for finding harmony between furniture ad objects, just launched an limited-edition of an assortment of home furniture and accessories with West Elm. We love how his refined aesthetic marries with West Elm’s modern flair. The new collection is timeless, organic and story-telling. Colin King studied jazz, dance, and ballet for a decade before transitioning to the world of interiors in his early 20s, styling for top design publications like T Magazine and Architectural Digest. We love King’s philosophy–“We all have a lamp, a table, a chair. And I think there’s so much power in arranging and finding that composition where everything just feels good.”
From furniture, lighting, textiles to decorative accessories, the new collection includes 41 pieces celebrates both West Elm and King’s shared appreciation for natural materials, timeless silhouettes, and artisanal craftsmanship. There are some trends in 2021 that will continue going strong in 2022–like all low-profile, curvy, sculptural silhouettes, shapes & forms and the artful mixing-and-matching of different eras and styles. People still lean to the soothing and quiet color palettes with subtle pops of color. With lunar new year just around the corner, we would love to share our design of New Year Lookbook 2022—a chic living room with a lunar new year vibe. According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. Chinese New Year 2022 will fall on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, starting a year of the Tiger. Tigers are ambitious, but they’re also extremely generous with a drive to help others. The Year of the Tiger will be about making big changes. This will be a year of risk-taking and adventure. We’re finding enthusiasm again, both for ourselves and for others.
